Congresul pentru evanghelizarea lumii s-a ținut pentru prima oară la Lausanne, în 1974. În finalul acestui eveniment a fost publicat Legământul de la Lausanne, un document socotit până astăzi ca fiind unul dintre cele mai importante documente din istoria recentă a bisericii.
Lucrările Congresului au fost precedate de consultări intense pe regiuni, o mare parte dintre aceste discuții fiind deja publice tuturor. Aceste referate pot fi descărcate de pe internet.
Dr Chris Wright, directorul organizației Langham Partnership International, este artizanul principal al unei noi declarații care a fost concepută în parteneriat cu teologi de frunte de pe toate continentele și care va fi adoptată la finalul Congresului de la Cape Town.

What a blessing and how exciting it is to know that you and other Romanian pastors are at this World Evangelistic event.
I am looking forward to watching many of the sessions
especially John Piper’s, Ajith Fernando’s and the other speakers on the book of Ephesians as well as some of the plenary sessions on the propagation of the Gospel.
